CAMBODIANS OPPOSE FRENCH RULE (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) BANGKOK, November 1. The Siamese Minister of the . Interior announced that an uprising against French rule occurred al Phnompen Kampong by “Free Cambodians,” who, according to earlj reports, were joined by Cambodiar troops from the French colonial ’forces and Japanese who had beer hiding, says the Associated Press Bangkok correspondent. The Government reported: “Many Cambodians who had been co-oper-ating with the French and many French nationals were captured oi. killed.” -.1
