ARREST BY RUSSIANS
OWNER OF AUSTRIAN STEEL WORKS CONFISCATION OF PLANT (Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 22. The Russian police have arrested Anton Biro, general manager of the leading Austrian steel works Ox Wagner and Biro, of which the Russians several months' ago claimed ownership, says the Associated Press Vienna correspondent. . Austrian police, under Russian orders, told Biro’s family that they must move out of the family home. Biro is reported to. have transferred to Bratislava. The nature of the charge against him is not yet known. The Russians, when they attempted to expropriate Biro’s works, ordered him to transfer to. the Russian military bank large sums of the company’s money. The Austrian Government advised -Biro to . ignore orders for the transfer of property or money. - • • •• ■ ->
