Sunspot Activity Causes Interruption
(Rec. 2 p.m.) NEW YORK, Sept. 22. Sunspot activity broke down radio and cable communications between America and the rest of the world from 5 a.m. (New York time) to-day. Communications to Australia were cut off for eight hours, after which cable transmission was restored. Transmission to Europe and South America functioned intermittently with long interruptions.
