BOBBY CALF EXPORT
£4,875 IS EXPECTED RETURN FOR WEST COAST DISTRIBUTION TO FARMERS The export of bobby calves from the West Coast commenced about two weeks ago and will continue dining the next, month,' but few consignments of any size have been macle so far from the Grey district. The price being obtained, it is reported, is about 15/7 net per calf and it is estimated that the prospective export from the whole of the West Coast from Karamea to South Westland, will be in the vicinity of 6000 io 6500 calves. On present prices this will mean a distribution among the farmers of about .£4875. The trade in bobby calves on the West Coast has increased each year, and it is expected that this year s export will again set a new peak.
