THE WEATHER Forecast: Changeable.
The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon to-day:— Situation: An anti-cyclone is moving across the north Tasman Sea, but a trough of low pressure is crossing the south Tasman. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow:. Moderate south-westerly winds predominating; weather cool and changeable, with scattered showers, but some fair periods in north Westland. Further outlook: Similar conditions. LOCAL RECORDINGS 9 a.m.: Barometer, 1015; thermometer, 45; wind, east (moderate breeze); sky, cloudy; bar, considerable sea; rainfall, 0.02 inches. (The total rainfall to date this year is 70.66 inches). The depth on the bar at. high water yesterday was 23ft. 1
