DECORATIONS FOR NEW ZEALANDERS CEREMONY AT WELLINGTON (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 19. In a private ceremony to be held at his home at Featherston on Sunday, October 6, the American Minister, the Hon. Avra M. Warren, will confer American awards for distinguished military service in the Allied cause upon the following members of the New Zealand armed services: — Legion of Merit, Degree of Commander Lieutenant-General Sir Edward Puttick. . Flight Lieutenant Patrick Thomas Curran. , Captain George Alexander Kirk Kelly. Captain Thomas Hanger. Captain Henry Alexander McDonald Mitchell. „ . . Captain Robert Lindsay Fenwick. The posthumous award of the Ail Medal and Purple Heart to Sergeant Adams, who was killed in action while a member of the. American armed forces, will be received by his mother, Mrs Adele F.
