First Insurance Policy Against Squatters
(Rec. 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 18 The owners of a block of luxury flats at Chelsea have taken out at Lloyds Britain’s first policy against squatters, says the Evening Standard. The flats have just been renovated, and there will be an interval before the tenants move in. The policy cost £75, to cover for three months up to £5OOO damage and loss of rent. Only one underwriter was prepared to entertain the proposition.
