BULLER APPLICATIONS CONSIPERED A sitting of the Nelson Land Board last week dealt with a number o± applications in respect of land in the Buller district. . „ 1 , The following applications for land were approved:— , . Town of Charleston (32 perches), Frank Noel Warburton, Charleston.— A year-to-year licence at a rental of j£l per annum.—Granted. Westport Colliery Reserve (/ 8 / 8 perches).—Alexander Nelson Wood, of Westport, baker. The following application for an extension of a timber-cutting permit was granted for one year as. June 10, 1946:—Ngakawau S.D. (80 acres). Permit holder: J- Jose. Transfers were approved as follow: Piahu S.D, (722 acres) from Ralph Cleveland Gibbs to Herbert Francis Watson, of Murchison, farmer (subject to special condition). < Maruia S.D. (423 acres) from Albert Oscar Harris to Leslie Arthur Johnson; of Karamea, farmer. Kongahu S.D. (353 acres 2rds 16 pchs.) from Mary Kate Horrack to William Gourley, of farmer.—Left in the hands of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
