MOTHER AND SON IN AUCKLAND FIRE AT MILK BAR (P.A.) AUCKLAND, August 8. Two of three members of a family who suffered severe burns and shock when a petrol explosion was followed by fire at the rear of a milk bar and confectionery shop at St. Helier’s Bay on July 13 have died from their injuries in the Auckland Hospital. They are:— Mrs. Lorna Irene Caldwell, aged 49, wife of Walter Alexander Caldwell, of Tuhimata street, St. Helier’s. Robert James Caldwell, aged 25, single, a warehouseman, a son of < Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell. All three victims were admitted to the Auckland Hospital. Caldwell, sen., was discharged about 10 days ago. , CYCLIST DIES~OF INJURIES (P.A.) AUCKLAND, August 8. Fatal injuries were suffered by a ♦resident of the Te Aroha district when he was knocked from his bicycle by a car near the Te Aroha racecourse to-night.
