Plight of Jews.
“Six thousand Jews will in the next three months flee from Poland to escape daily robbing, beating, and killing,” said Rabbi Philip Bernstein, Jewish adviser on Jewish affairs, -after a tour of the American zone ■studying Polish Jews’ conditions. Rabbi Bernstein, pointing out that the American zone of Germany hitherto had assumed the car£ of the majority of Jewish displaced persons said there should be an immediate exploration of the possibilities of caring for those people in large numbers in the American zone of Austria besides other Allied zones in Italy and elsewhere.—London, Aug. 4.
