ESCAPED FROM GAOL
three recaptured men SENTENCED (P.A.) DUNEDIN, August 7. Following their break from the Dunedin prison yesterday morning, and their recapture after a brief period of liberty, three prisoners, James. Robert Milldr, aged 25, Louis James Egen, aged 21, and David Mervyn Coats, aged 19, appeared before the court this morning. .They pleaded guilty to being incorrigible rogues in that they escaped' from legal custody. Miller and Egen, who are awaiting sentence in the Supreme Court, the former on a burglary charge and the latter on counts of theft and false pretences, were each sentenced to one month’s imprisonment for escaping. Coats was dealt with on charges of theft arid ordered to be detained in a borstal for twelve months, a similar and concurrent sentence being imposed for escaping. I
