Arabian Night Lame Again [SPECIAL TO STAR.] RICCARTON, Aug. 7. Arabian Night was accepted for in the Grand National Hurdles after his attractive schooling yesterday, but later in the day he had a recurrence of his lameness and it was then decided that the acceptance be cancelled. He was returned to Wingatui last night. Prize Ring gave an attractive display over six hurdles this morning. Beheve showed the way to EJritish Mint over four hurdles. Sphere was to have been schooled but a mate was not available and he will be jumped to-morrow. Soneri and Leigh Barton have been accepted for in the two principal .flat races on Saturday. Decisions regarding their programmes will not be made till later in' the week. Piccolo, also a dual acceptor, was withdrawn to-day from his mile and a quarter engagement. Night Prince was responsible for an excellent display over five of the inside steeplechase fences this morning. -The main steeplechase course will be open to-morrow when several horses are likely to be schooled. The death has occurred after a long illness of Mr. D. R. Revell, a well-known Auckland businessman and prominent racing figure. He was the owner of Parisienne, an outstanding pacing mare of 1936-37. In partnership with Mr. G. McMillan, he raced Sea Pearl, Machine Gun, and Summer Shower.
