Aircraft Grounded in Australia.
The Department of Civil Aviation has grounded all Dragon DH-84 aircraft fitted with a distinctive type of American fuel pump, and the department’s engineers have ordered certain modifications to the fuel pumps. The aeroplanes have been grounded after inquiries into a fatal Dragon crash at Mackay, Queensland, in which two pdrsons were killed, and into two forced landings at Lempsey, New South Wales. Aeroplanes affected by the ban include ‘"‘the Flying Doctor” and • aerial ambulance aeroplanes throughout Australia.—Sydney, August 4.
