THE WEATHER Forecast: Changeable.
The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological at noon to-day:— Situation: Pressure is very low to the south and south-east and relatively high to the north-west. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow: Variable winds, but south-easter-lies still fresh at times; weather rather changeable with a few scattered showers but fair intervals; temperatures cool. Further outlook: Similar conditions. LOCAL RECORDINGS. 9 a.m.: Barometer, 999; thermometer, 44; wind, east (light breeze); sky, blue and cloudy; bar, heavy sea; river, moderate fresh (four knots); rainfall, 0.69 inches. (The total rainfall to date this year is 57.65 inches). The depth on the bar at high water this morning was 23ft 6in.
