WOOL FOR SPAIN
WATERSIDERS ADVISED 10 LOAD LABOUR FEDERATION’S VIEW (P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 6. The watersiders have been recommended by the New Zealand Federation of Labour to load the woo] consigned from Dominion ports to Spain. The executive of the federation, at a meeting yesterday, decided to take this course. This recommendation was conveyed. to the national officials of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union, and it is now expected that similar advice will be given by these officials to the workers at the ports involved. If the advice is accepted by the unions, the wool may be loaded immediately. They may wait, however, until their regular stopwork meetings are held later in the week.
