Hospital Rating Relief Sought

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. The Wellington City Council will complete its plans to organise a deputation to the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) and the Minister of Health (Mr. Nordmeyer) to protest against the method of hospital rating. This was decided at a meeting of the council last night. “Every pressure must be brought to bear on the Government,” said the Mayor, Mr. W. Appleton. “If necessary, a public indignation meeting wiH be organised in the Town Hall. Mr. Appleton added that some relief from the burden of hospital rating had been granted to local bodies on the West Coast. He considered that the Government should take the same action elsewhere.
