BI4KETOWN RESOLUTIONS
At the monthly meeting of the Blaketown-Preston road Ratepayers and Citizens’ Association it was decided that the association would have no objection to supporting the Greymouth Ratepayers,’ Association in any matter affecting the borough as a whole, but had no desire to amalgamate. , The secretary was requested to ask the Greymoufh Borough. Council to forward a copy of this year’s estimates. , Thanks was expressed to the Blaketown Women’s'lnstitute for a donation of £l/1/- to the hall funds. The Blaketown Home and School Association was granted the use of the hall on the evening of August 13. It was decided to write to the radio inspector complaining of interference, particularly on Saturday afternoons.
