Jimmy McLane, of Massachusetts, captured the 800-metre ITetj style swimming event at the San Diego meet, in lOmin G.7sec, becoming the youngest, swimmer to win three titles at the National Amateur Athletic Union’s senior men’s swimming meet. Former triple winners include Johnny Weismuller. —New York; August 5.
