Sir Reginald Dorman-Smith has been advised by his doctor that it will be inadvisable for him to return to a tropical climate, ahd sb he has resigned the Governorship of Burma. Major-General H. E. Rance has been appointed successor, taking over from the Acting. Governor, Sir Henry Knight, towards the 'end of the month.—London, August 4.
