TIUELIC Service Junior and Senior Entrance Examinations for Shorthand-typists will be held on 16th November. Applicants may enter lor both examinations. It is also proposed to hold the following examinations on 30th November, IN CENTRES WHERE THERE ARE SUFFICIENT CANDIDATES:— INTERMEDIATE EXAMINATION: Shorthand 130 words a min'ute; typewriting 50 words a minute. Entrants must have previously passed the Senior Examination. SPECIAL EXAMINATION: Shorthand 150 words a minute; typewriting 50 words a minute. Entrants must have passed the Intermediate Examination Exception is made only where the Commissioner is satisfied that candidates who have not passed any Public Service examination for Shorthand-typists are up to the standard of the examination below the one entered for. Each case will be dealt with on its merits. SHORTHAND REPORTERS EXAMINATION: Shorthand 150180 words a minute with not more than one per cent error in transcript.. Entry fee is £2/2/-; candidates must be 21 years of age and must submit two testimonials as to character. Applications close on 10th October, 1946, but late applications will be received at this office up to 24th October ON ADDITIONAL PAYMENT OF LATE FEE. Entrance fees: Junior 5/- (late fee 2/6); Senior 10/- (late fee 2/6); Intermediate 15/- (late fee 5/-); Special £1 (late fee 5/-). NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 24th OCTOBER.
