STRIKE CALLED OFF
INDIAN TELEGRAPH UNION ACCEPTS OFFER
(Rec. 10.40 a.m.) NEW DELHI, August 1.
The All-India Federation of the Post and Telegraph Union has called off the nation-wide strike timed for August 3, after accepting the latest Government offer of reliefs costing £7,000,000, compared with the £12,000,000 involved in the Original demands.
