NEW YORK’S MANHATTAN DISTRICT TO DISCARD TRAMS.— One of the 100 new dieselpowered vehicles scheduled for delivery before September 1, to operate on the Forty-second and Fiftyninth street cross-town tram routes and on the Tenth avenue routes. By the end of the year these buses will have taken over on Broadway and Third avenue In all 665 buses are co be delivered by January 1, to replace the electric trams.
