y Taupo Totara Timber. —The Taupo Totara Timber Company, Ltd., Putaruru, will pay an ordinary dividend of 5 per cent, on August 15 for the year ended April 30. The last dividend was in 1943, when 3 per cent, was paid. From 1939 to 1941 dividends were 2 per cent.', 2| per cent. and. 3 per cent, respectively. No distribution was made in 1942. Berlei Sydney—The Reserve Bank will agree to shareholders resident in New Zealand remitting the amount of the call due on 51,000 contributing ordinary shares of Berlei, Ltd. (Sydney), according to information received by the Stock Exchange Association of New Zealand. The bank said that it did not wish to establish a precedent. Permission would be granted subject to shareholders having no funds in Australia. Application should J)e lodged through trading banks.,lf shareholders have funds in Australia these should be used before a remittance will be approved. The company is calling up the remaining 10/- a share on contributing ordinary shares issued in 1926. Additional capital is required to finance expanding business, and anew factory in Wollongong.
