(Rec. 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, July 18 To mark Bernard Shaw s ninetieth birthday, which occurred last week, 27 of Britain’s most noted men of letters contributed to a publication “G.B.S. —Ninety,” which was issued, yesterday. The foreword is by Professor Gilbert Murray and other contributors include John Masefield, Lord Passfield, T. S. Eliot E. M. Forster, Osbert Sitwell, G. M. Trevelyan, Upton Sinclair and Thomas Mann. . Shaw appears to be the only one uninterested in his birthday. When asked about it he said if anyone wanted him to write a special article about what it feels like to be ninety he would do so—for £3OOO. .
