AVONDALE Bated Well Placed in Main Event

The Plumpton Handicap, of one mile and three furlongs, will be the feature race on the Avondale Jockey Club’s card for to-morrow at Ellerslie. Some good recent form is represented in the race, with winners in Leigh Hark. Batal and Cracroft engaged, and Abbey Fox. Ruling Master, Royal Charter others with useful placed form. Leigh Hark has won twice and been once second in his last four starts, Cracroft has won at his last two starts and Batal won attractiely at the recent Franklin meeting.
