RUGBY FOOTBALL Celtic and Blaketown to Meet To-morrow
Keen interest is being taken in the meeting to-morrow at Rugby Park of the leaders in the senior championship, Celtic, and last year’s champion team, Blaketown. Celtic started the season with a flourish when it defeated Cobden, and Blaketown was surprisingly beaten in two of its' three games to date. g Blaketown has been training hard in an effort to retrieve its losses, and the game with Celtic to-morrow should be one of the best of the season.
On the No. 2 ground • at Rugby Park, Cobden will meet United, and if the latter team maintains the improvement it showed against Celtic, it should keep Cobden busy. Lower grade matches will be played on all grounds. Paewai to Play for Hutt Club (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 31. Dr. M. N. Paewai, the well-known Rugby half-back, has decided to play for the Hutt Club, while in Wellington, which is expected to be for the duration of this season. He was anxious to turn out to-morrow, but is not able to do so as he has not yet fulfilled the necessary residential qualifications.
