“World Peace may be Endangered” PALESTINE AND EGYPT ISSUES (Recd. 11 a.tn.) CAIRO, May 30. The Kings, princes and presidents of. the, seven States of the Arab League issued a communique at the conclusion of the secret two-day talks, warning that further Jewish immigration to Palestine might endanger world peace and affirming their support of the Egyptian demands that Egypt must attain complete sovereignty and the British troops must be evacuated immediately. The hope was expressed that Britain and America would not do anything in Palestine which would compel the Arab world to retaliate. , _ . , j 4 The meeting discussed Tripolitama and Cyrenaica and agreed to support all efforts of Arab countries to attain complete independence. According to a Jerusalem message Dr. Hussein Khalidi, leader of the Palestine Arab Reform Party and one of the main movers m the establishment of the Arab Higher Front, said: — Jamal Husseim, secretary of the Arab Higher Committee, maintains that Palestine should not be brought before the United Nations. I take it that his aim is not to embarrass Britain. We do not want to embarrass Britain or invoke Russian assistance, but because there are six Arab representatives on the United Nations and one on the Security Council we feel that by taking the case there we should get a fair hearing.” He added that while there was a split in tactics there were no major differences between Palestine Arabs over the national demands.
