The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon to-day:— Situation: An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand. There are depressions west of Tasmania. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow: Light to moderate easterly to ■ north-easterly winds; weather fine; frosts to-night, but moderate day temperatures. Further outlook: Fair. LOCAL RECORDINGS. 9 a.m. —Barometer, 1026; thermometer, 39; wind, easterly (fresh breeze); sky, blue; river, normal; bar, moderate swell; rainfall, nil. (The total'rainfall to date this year is 33.28 inches.) The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 18ft Sin.
