DIVORCE IN GERMANY

SHARP INCREASE TN MANY CENTRES

(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 29. A sharp increase in the divorce rate is reported from many parts of Germany, says The Times’s Herford correspondent. The courts at Cologne are granting an average of 36 divorces daily and have a waiting list of 2000 to 3000. Members of the Army of Occupation and members of the Military Government may not be named as corespondents in German divorce cases, but are referred to anonymously. There have been a number of such cases recently in Hamburg and in other cities in the British zone.
