OBITUARY Mr. R. B. Morphy

The death occurred at Christchurch yesterday of Mr. R. B. Morphy, aged 32, of Greymouth, after a brief illness.

Before the war Mr. Morphy was engineer officer and assistant instructor to the Wellington Aero Club. He was a member of the Territorial Air Force and joined the R.N.Z.A.F. on the outbreak of war. He served on a number of New Zealand stations, being commanding officer at Waipapakauri, North Auckland, for some time. Mr. Morphy served overseas as a squadron leader with No. 6 Fly-ing-boat Squadron. . On his demobilisation Mr. Morphy joined the staff of Schaef’s, Ltd., Greymouth, as sales manager, and had been in Greymouth for about nine months before his death. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. E. Morphy, of Wellington.
