Faked Drugs Made in Germany.
Allied police discovered a cache of faked drugs ostensibly worth about £250,000 and arrested seven men and three women on charges of the manufacture, possession, and sale of imitation penicillin. The ringleader is alleged to be Peter Dornkie, a 26-year-old former Wehrmacht private. The police said that some faked penicillin in his possession was poisonous. A Russian officer who had an injection is in a critical condition.—Berlin, April 22.
