DEATH SENTENCE
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) SHANGHAI, April 22. Chu Min-yi, puppet Foreign Minister of the Japanese-sponsored Nanking Government, was sentenced to death for treason. Madame Wang Ching-wei, wife of the puppet governor, was sentenced to life imprisonment on a similar charge. Chu, who had asked the court not to gaol ' him but to sentence him to death if he was found guilty, sighed audibly as the sentence was passed. ]
