EASTER CONFERENCE

RESULTS

(P.A.) DUNEDIN, April 22. The Easter conference of Catholic Clubs was concluded to-day, when arrangements for next year’s meeting at Christchurch were made. The election of a national executive, which will be located in Dunedin for the next year, resulted as follows: —President, Mr. G. A. Wall; vice-president, Mr. P. Cull; secretary treasurer, Mr. T. J. Angus; executive committee, Miss N. Cull, Messrs J. B. Cull, G. F. Curran, S. E. Mee, T. B. Mooney, G. D. O’Connell, A. McNamara, K. O’Connor, J. Kane, and J. Curran. Results of competitions were: — . , Impromptu Speech (subject, ’Are Ghosts Real or Imaginary?”). —Catholic Youth Movement, Dunedin (I-. O’Connor) 1, St Christopher’s Younger Set (E, Gdanitz) 2, Marist, Invercargill (P. J- McMullan) and. ~ St. Christopher’s Boys’ Club (P. Oughton), equal 3. *: Hayward Shield. —Catholic Youth Movement (Dunedin), 15 points, 1; Marist (Invercargill), 111- points, 2; St. Christopher’s Younger Set, i points, 3.
