CARPENTERS CEASE WORK (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 23. • The work being done on the Tamaroa by Wellington wharf carpenters, who have been effecting hold repaiis on that vessel and the Arawa, ceased yesterday in consequence of a dispute over the employment of some 40 men outside the regular wharf carpenters during the Easter holidays.
