STRIKE AT COLOMBO
DOCK WORKERS’ DEMANDS (Rec. 9 a.m.) COLOMBO, April 18. Three ships have been diverted from Colombo and two food ships are held up as a result of a strike of dock workers, who demand a victory bonus of three months’ wages, a 45hour week, free uniforms and housing.
