Musical items and competitions added to the enjoyment-of the afternoon and Mrs Sullivan was presented with a gift. The Dominion council of the Bible in Schools League at the last meeting passed a minute expressing deep appreciation of the services of the Rev. E. O. Blamires, who has retired from the position of organising secretary of the New Zealand Bible in Schools League after 18 years in office. —(P.A.) Canon Henry Frazer, a Liverpool clergyman, arrived at Auckland on the ‘ Northumberland on Thursday. Canon Frazer, who has been a clergyman in Liverpool for 45 years, intends to spend three years in New Zealand. He will relieve the present vicar of Sumner, Christchurch, for a period.
