BRITISH LABOUR PREPARES TO CLOSE DOOR
LONDON, April 18.
The Labour Party’s executive have settled the terms of the proposed amendment to the party’s constitution, which will bang and bar the door of affiliation against the Communist Party and the Independent Labour Party, says the Labour correspondent of The Times. The amendment simply says that from now onwards nobody with the character of a separately organised party shall be eligible for affiliation.
