The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon to-day: — Situation: An anti-cyclone is centred over the North Island. Pressure is low to the south of the Dominion. Forecast to 5 p.m. to-morrow: Moderate north-easterly winds predominating; weather cloudy with some isolated light showers; temperatures cool. Further outlook: Little change. LOCAL RECORDINGS 9 a.m.: Barometer 1018; thermometer, 52; wind, north-east (moderate breeze); sky, overcast; river, normal;
bar, moderate swell; rainfall, nil. (The total rainfall to date this year is 27.66 inches). The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 21ft. lin. Genl News.
