LIFE OR DEATH?
UNITED NATIONS AND THEIR ENEMIES
VENGEANCE CONDEMNED
(Rec. Noon.) LONDON, March 1. The provisional committee of the World Council of Churches has issued a warning that the execution of vengeance against enemies will only bring disaster to the world’.
The committee was established at the recent Geneva conference. Its message condemns the deprivation of former enemies of the necessaries of lif, mass expulsions and attempts to wreak vengeance in any other manner.
“The‘world stands between the life and death of men going the way of death,” the committee adds. “We pray to God that the United Nations will choose the way of life.”
