FIRST DRAFT FOR CAMP WEST COAST MEN IN J. FORCE DEPARTURE NEXT WEEK The first draft of West Coast volunteers for the occupational force for Japan has been selected and will leave Greymouth by express on Tuesday for Burnham Camp where the men will undergo premilinary training; There are 13 men in the draft, which will be in charge of Sergeant J. P. Mathews, and all are drawn from occupations outside those in the essential category. All are classified grade one. They will be issued with uniforms at Burnham instead of at Greymouth as was the procedure with all~ but the first drafts of men travelling to camp from the West Coast during the war. George Robert H. Wright, Runanga. The second draft of West Coast men will leave on the following Tuesday, March 12.
