BUXTON DEFEATS CALTAUX SYDNEY, December 9. Alex Buxton, list 4,’jib, of the Royal. Marines, won his sixth successive fight at the Sydney Stadium last night when ho stopped Vic Caltaux, lOst 81b, in the fifth round. The New Zealander was down three times in the third round for counts of three, lour, and five. After Buxton had knocked him down twice in the fifth round the referee stopped the fight as Caltaux was drunkenly trying io stand up. Caltaux again proved to be one of the toughest fighters ever seen at the Sydney Stadium. He was not marked at the end of the fight, but he had taken terrific punishment.
