An astronomical phenomenon was observed by Greymouth residents about 2.30 i o ekek yesterday morning. A vivid blue flash lit up the sky with a weird light and as this ® more subdued a streak of bnlliant light flame coloured, travelled across th e sky, tad ing away after about a minute and a naif. The disturbance was probably a meteor which disintegrated.
