PENICILLIN SCIENTISTS
WIPING OUT CATTLE DISEASE Research scientists in Britain are using penicillin to cure dairy cattle of mastitis, one of their most serious diseases reports the “Manchester Guardian.” The results are “almost too good to be true” says. Professor Scott Watson who is the Chief Education and Advisory Officer to the Ministry of Agriculture. The Professor has told a London audience that “we have a great body ■of research people at the Ministry. We see a way to get rid of the. two most important diseases of our dairy cattle.” The other cattle disease to which the Professor was referring is. tuberculosis, a cure for which he said is already known.*
