DESTINY STONE
BACK IN ABBEY. LONDON, October 1. The Coronation Chair and the Stone of Destiny have been restored to the Chapel of Edward the Confessor in Westminster Abbey. They will not be on view to the public until restoration of the chapel is complete, but it is hoped this may be before the end of the year. The chair —in which Sovereigns of England have been crowned Since Edward il
in 1327—was removed from the Abbey in 1939. As a precaution against air-raid damage it was placed in Gloucester Cathedral aticl protected by sandbags and masonry.- The Coronation Stone was buried in the precincts of Westminster AbW.
