Joga Singh .was ordered to stand on a table while his wrists were tied to a rope and the table removed. He was theri'lgiven 120 strokes. He cried for mercy until unconscious. He was left hangiuf by the wrists while the four others were similarly beaten. When Singh was taken down he was dead. The Tribunal adjourned to give the defence three weeks in which to prepare- its case.
