The huge seaplane “Lionel Demarinier” left Biscarosse for Buenos Aires carrying 46 passengers, interested in re-establishment of French commercial relations in South America. The seaplane returned to Biscarosse, unexpectedly, after turning back, when flying over Lisbon. No explanation was given. FREEDOM AND PEACE. PARIS, October 23. The India employers’ delegate to the 1.L.0. conference called on representatives of 45 member States to recognise “that the freedom of peoples of Asiatic countries is the foundation of future planning of the world and that thus alone can the solid structure for world peace be built.” RACIAL PRIVILEGES SALT LAKE CITY, October 23. The New Zealand Minister, Mr Berindsen, addressing the English Speaking Union declared it was the white man’s responsibility in the Pacific to level up the good things of life. He said that 15,000,000 members of the white race could not hope to maintain their privileged position among billions of people of other races. They could not do it because it was not Tight.
