EGYPTIAN STUDENTS
GENERAL STRIKE THREAT. (Rec. 10.35 a.m.) CAIRO. October 22. Egyptian Army units intervened and restored order at Fuad University, when about 2000 students, politically opposed to the present Government, tried to carry out their call for a general strike by storming into the classrooms in which bthex 1 students were pursuing studies. The University Council decided to dismiss several student leaders from - the University, including the Wafdists and a number of members of the Greenshirt (extreme Nationalist) Party.
