OTAHUHU v. BLACKBALL
The big attraction in League football to-morrow will be the meeting of Otahuhu (Auckland) and Blackball at the Blackball Domain. Buses will provide transport for Greymouth. patrons. Otahuhu‘have had a successful season in Auckland, winning the minor championship, and they include six Auckland representatives, R. Halsey La three-quarter), C. Riley (five- eighth), Ralph Martin (five-eighth and full-back, who has also represented the North Island), N. Johnson and J. Johnson, and R. Seymour (forwards). Blackball have a fine record this season, winning the West Coast championship and knockout compeition and also the Thacker Shield. Blackball will be at. full strength to-morrow, their team being: R. Nuttall; D. Kirk, W. Mountford, J. O’Donnell; C. Mountford, J. McNaughton; M. Ord; J. Wright, M. J. Williams; W. Kirk, C. Mcßride; K. Mountford. Blackball will average about list 71b in the backs and just over 13st in the forwards, while Otahuhu w?ll average list in the backs and 13st 51b in the forwards. Keen interest will be taken in. how the brilliant Blackball backs, including four South League’s reps., will fare against the Aucklanders, and there should be a large attendance at Blackball for what should be an excellent match.
