DUTCH BANKNOTES
(Rec. 11.30 a.m.) AMSTERDAM, September 13. The Dutch Finance Minister (Lieftinck) announced that all present Dutch banknotes will become invalid and all bank accounts will be blocked cn September 26 as part of the -drastic economic measures aimed .at strangling black markets and checking inflation. The banks will limit deposits to 300 guilders. The first payments of the monthly salaries in the new issue of guilders will be made after October 3. Heavy taxes are being imposed on wealth acquired during the xvar. . Holland’s national debt is now fivefold that before the war.
