Ordained a Presbyterian minister while a 'prisoner of war in Germany,, Rev. I. G. Rvburn, of Dunedin, will shortly take up temporary duties in Wellington, assisting St. Andrew’s parish. Mr. Ryburn’s ordination was unique. The camp in which he was a prisoner had no Presbyterian chaplain. so he was ordained after the permission of the General Assembly had been obtained and the Assembly had commissioned chaplains in other camps to perform the ceremony. The Germans allowed them to make a special trip for this work. Mr. Ryburn studied at Theological Hall for two years before enlisting, and was a graduate of the University of New Zealand. He will return to Dunedin before next year to resume study.— P.A.
